How does Higher or Lower? work in Quible?

Quib puts two things next to each other, for example France and Germany, and asks which has more residents. You tap one. Then both numbers appear: 68.4 million against 83.5 million. A session has 10 rounds of 15 seconds each.

Most rounds are about population and area; others compare cities, islands, rivers and mountains. It is the quickest way in Quible to find out how wrong your picture of the world is.

Why are some rounds harder than they look?

Because the numbers are close on purpose. Countries of similar size, cities with similar populations, islands you would swear are bigger. The explanation after each round gives the context, for example that Germany has the most people in the EU while France has the most area.

If you like this kind of game, Stat Duel does the same with numbers beyond geography (Olympic medals, films, science), and Closest Wins asks you to type the number instead of comparing.
