Fact or Fake: true or false, with the reason why
Fact or Fake is the true-or-false game in Quible, a quiz app for iPhone. Quib reads one statement, you decide whether it is a fact or something Quib made up. After every tap you get the reason, so wrong answers still teach you something. There are 175 statements about nature, science, history and places.

Napoleon Bonaparte was unusually short.
How does Fact or Fake work?
Quib says one sentence, for example "Lightning can strike the same spot more than once." You tap Fact or Fake. Then the explanation appears: yes, the Empire State Building takes about 25 hits a year.
A session is 10 statements. Roughly half are true, and the fakes are written to sound plausible, which is the point: it trains you to doubt a confident sentence.
Is it good for kids and classrooms?
The statements are family-friendly and every answer comes with a short, checkable explanation. It works well read aloud in a group: one person holds the phone, everyone votes.
In the app, Fact or Fake is part of the Europe chapter of the learning path and one of the eight duel games for 2 to 4 players on one iPhone.
