What Links Them? Find the connection

What Links Them? is the connection game in Quible, a trivia and geography app for iPhone. Quib names two things, for example Marie Curie and Poland, and offers four possible links. Pick the real one: it is her country of birth. There are 110 rounds, and a separate Daily board with 16 items to sort into four groups.

How does What Links Them? work?

Each round names two subjects: a person and a country, two cities, a river and a war. Four statements describe how they might be connected; only one is true. You pick it and Quib explains, for example that Marie Curie named the element polonium after Poland.

The wrong options are real-sounding on purpose, so it rewards knowing the story, not just the names.

Is this like NYT Connections?

Partly. The New York Times game gives you 16 words to sort into four groups. That exact format is Quible's Daily: one board per day, four groups of four, four misses and the day is over. The app has 60 of those boards.

What Links Them? is the one-round version: two things, one link, as many rounds as you like. Between the two you get a Connections-style puzzle every day and as many single rounds as you want, offline.
